Ostertal hiking trail
The Ostertal Hiking Trial or also known as the "Hasenweg" among the villagers - connects the Ostertal communities of Herchweiler and Selchenbach.
The trail is almost 7 km long. The eastern part leads through the forest on forest paths and the remaining part leads along roads and country lanes.
Routing for the Ostertal hiking trail:
- from the village community center in Herchweiler, Kuseler Straße 10
- to the "Ostertalstraße"
- then in the direction of the sports field from the village
- past the "Markeicherhof" – Römerstraße
- "Mühlweg" and "Alte Straße" (both in Selchenbach)
- back through the "Schachenwald" and "Jungwald"
- Cross the K 14 to the "Wolfsbornerhof"
- then back through the "Bruchgraben" to Kuseler Straße
- and to the village community center
