Remigius hiking trail

The Remigius hiking trail is another premium hiking trail in our municipality with a length of
approximately 40 km.
It bears its name in reference to Saint Remigius, Bishop of Reims, after whom the Remigius Church, part of a monastery complex of the former Benedictine provostry of St. Remigii Remigiusberg, was named.
The trail runs through the Remigiusland, which the Frankish king Childebert II, a great-grandson of the Frankish king Clovis, gave to the diocese of Reims.
The Remigius hiking trail starts in the district town of Kusel and ends at the Selberg near Rothselberg.
From there, you can reach the small town of Wolfstein via the Palatinate High Trail, about 5 km away.

Your hike will take you high up to the mountains Potzberg and the Königsberg.
Take your time, as there are numerous benches and rest areas along the way that invite you to linger.
The trail can be hiked in three stages and is accessible all year round.
